Third and Fourth Grade Happenings

This year,  Ms. Ploussard’s third and fourth grade students are participating in an exciting challenge. Scholastic Books, along with Football players, Peyton and Eli Manning, have challenged classrooms across the country to read 100 books. If your classroom meets the challenge of reading 100, books, the Manning family will donate a million books to kids in need. The students were to pick either Team Peyton, or Team Eli. The third and fourth graders chose Team Eli. Our class has read a total of 87 books. Go Team Eli!!!

In Math, third graders are learning about elapsed time with calendars and schedules. These are concepts that will help them prepare for the state assessment testing. Fourth graders are learning about collecting and graphing data. This will also help them prepare for the state assessment testing in Math.

Both third and fourth grade students are learning about ecosystems in Science. The students designed their own coral reefs.
